Prospective NHS members

11th and 10th grade students with a 3.2 or better have been sent a letter from the NHS. This letter is the first step in the process. The Verification forms must be returned A.S.A.P. to Ms. del Rio by letter recipients. The Student information sheet is due before March 31st. The Information sheets will go before a 5 teacher council as blind information sheets - without names. They will be evaluated according to the following rubric:

Total pts. Must be 60 or better to be inducted.


Upon completion of the evaluations and approve of the building administrator, those receiving 60 points or better will be mailed a letter of acceptance. It is required that every new member of the National Honor Society go through an induction ceremony. This ceremony will take place on April 28th at 7:00 in the high school gym.
